A few Words on Queer Language

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, it's very important to me that everyone can express themselves freely and authentically.

But this can be difficult sometimes, especially where gender and the German language is concerned, since German tends to be very gender-specific and binary.

I myself needed a lot of time and reflection to find words and pronouns that feel right for me but also make sense to the people around me. And this is an ongoing process. I'm constantly learning new things, and occasionally discarding old ideas or taking them up again. And that's okay. There's not always the one perfect one-size-fits-all solution with these things.

So if you have a translation or a text containing queer language and it's important to you to keep it or even to highlight it, then I would be delighted to work together with you to find the right words for your needs.
